Founded in 1967, the Laboratory of Subatomic Physics and Cosmology (LPSC) is a joint research unit of the CNRS, the University of Grenoble Alpes (UGA), and Grenoble INP. The laboratory’s mission focuses on fundamental research in nuclear physics, particle physics, astroparticle physics, and cosmology, as well as their applications in the fields of nuclear energy and health, accelerators, ion sources, and plasmas. It is located at two sites: the main site in Grenoble and the national underground facility LSM in Modane.
