The Modane Underground Laboratory, under 1700 meters of rock, is located along the Frejus tunnel in Savoie close to the italian border. Under the Alps protection, physicists around the world try to unlock the Universe mysteries.
In this amazing scientific site protected from cosmic rays, it is possible to proceed to experimental research on neutrinos and dark matter. Ultra low radioactivity measurements allow in the same time to develop environmental studies and datation techniques.
The LSM has joint the LPSC, as an IN2P3 national platform, the January 1st 2019.
