  • Meeting PhD - High Schoolers

The meeting will take place in high schools during the week of the Science Fair. Four groups of about fifteen students will succeed one another to take part in a discussion of 45 minutes about the cosmology.

  • Conference : Cosmic rays, extraterrestrial origin of radiation

The Earth is continually bombarded by particles coming from the cosmos, the "cosmic rays". How researchers did they identified? How have they contributed to the development of particle physics? What do they learn about the universe? ...
These questions will be asked to Corinne Berat, researcher in the Laboratory of Subatomic Physics and Cosmology in Grenoble.

  • Neutrinos detection experiment

Presentation of the STEREO experiment. Illustration of detecting neutrinos via the light production by scintillation and Cerenkov effect using the COSMIX detector.
Date : Saturday, October 10, 10am to 18pm.
