Enigmass2 aims at enhancing the impact of the project on society through several actions, some of broad interest and some more targeted to the regional community. Nurture society’s deep interest in our science by supporting a variety of outreach activities, drawing on the long experience of the consortium, includes

• giving public talks, giving talks at schools or hosting school field trips
• organizing masterclasses for high school students
• organizing high-profile events such as the “Nuit de...” series (with already several very successful occurrences during Enigmass1)
• producing outreach material in various forms (books, web-documentaries, exhibits, virtual reality video).

We also plan to expand beyond the above by developing citizen science projects connected to our experiments in order to promote active engagement of society in the process of scientific research and to help fighting the skepticism toward science that tends to become more pervasive nowadays.
